After I crossed the 50% boundary almost 5 years ago I finished the following items;
- Finished the body work repair
- Assembled the body work
- Finished the rolling chassis; Carburetor, Dynamo, Starter, Waterpump, Oil cleaner and Engine
- Finished the interior heater and screen washer motor
During the last 25% i will still need to do;
- Electrical installation
- Assembling interior
- Lining
- Straightening and spraying the outside of the body work
- Mounting all the exterior items; Bumpers, Light, Glass, Chrome bit and pieces etc
Hi you have done nice work and nice block, it has helped me lot ! I am restoring same kind of 140 FHC LHD, My project was dismandled missing parts so I have bought them or maybe manufacture. I would like to ask you if you have photos where heater is installed in car and how gas pedal and it linkage goes and how linkage components look in real (I Still miss pedal and linkage but think I can make those ?).
I allso try to understand what goes via all those holes in bulghead. I am just in stage that body and chassis is done and I have painted body inside to start assemble parts and make it rolling before outer paint etc…

First of all, I think most answers can be found in the book “Jaguar XK140 Explored” from Bernard Viart.
Trottle pedal bracket is mounted with three screws onto the wooden floor part (not on the photo). On the outside there is a bracket (currently mounted with two of the four srews) which converts a horzontal movement into a vertical movement(C10345).
The heater is mounted with three screws in a triangle shape. The two somewhat bigger holes are for the connection of the water pipes.
I think most of the holes in the bulkhead are described on the picture below
I hopes this answers most of your questions. I did’t yet made photos of all parts needed to build the throttle linkage, but found a overview photo in my archive. Maybe It will be finished next year.
Best regards,
Peter
